چکیده
Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS) is the amalgamation of highly sophisticated sensors with physical spaces. These close conjunctions communication infrastructure intrinsically linking to society’s Critical Infrastructures (C.I.) are being witnessed more often in context Smart Grid (SG). As a backbone C.I., demonstrates ability precisely monitor large scale energy systems and designed order achieve complex local global objectives. Being capable performing such operation it also bears vulnerability exposed for cyber-physical co-ordinated attack that may lead catastrophic effect. Many researchers have analyze different stages attacks like detection, prevention, impact analysis recovery plans but there exist research gap address all issues under single framework. Through this paper, we propose novel Cyber Physical Defense Framework (CPDF) based on National Institute Standards Technology (NIST) guidelines cyber SG. Our work addresses pre post scenario, vector formulation through hierarchical PetriNet modeling mechanism. We performed experiment Distributed Denial Service (DDoS) False Data Injection (FDI) validate our framework effectiveness established efficacy proposed model. In end, presented case study FDI detection using machine learning technique IEEE 9-bus 14-bus system.

Cyber-Physical Systems Security for the Smart Grid
The integration of Information Technology (IT) systems (computations and communications–the cyber world) with sensor and actuation data (the physical world), can introduce new, and fundamentally different approaches to security research in the growing field of Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS), when compared to other purely-cyber systems. In our earlier work [4, 2, 1, 3], we have shown that because ...
متن کاملDistributed host-based collaborative detection for false data injection attacks in smart grid cyber-physical system
False data injection (FDI) attacks are a crucial security threat to smart grid cyber-physical system (CPS), and could result in cataclysmic consequences to the entire power system. However, due to the high dependence on open information networking, countering FDI attacks is challenging in smart grid CPS. Most existing solutions are based on state estimation (SE) at the highly centralized contro...
متن کاملTowards a Cyber-Physical Resilience Framework for Smart Grids
As modern power grids move towards becoming a smart grid, there is an increasing reliance on the data that is transmitted and processed by ICT systems. This reliance introduces new digital attack vectors. Many of the proposed approaches that aim to address this problem largely focus on applying well-known ICT security solutions. However, what is needed are approaches that meet the complex conce...
